Vacaville Business Club - Rules, Guidelines and Protocols
The Vacaville Business Club is a “by invitation only” group of professional men and woman who meet for the sole purpose of building business relationships of character and professionalism.
Rules
There is no cost to join or maintain membership in the club.
There are no fines or club dues.
Attendance by non-members is by invitation only.
Each business category can be represented by only one member (no conflicts of interest).
The Vacaville Business Club meets every Friday at Creekside Bar & Grill 12 noon.
Weekly meetings cost $12.00 to cover lunch.
Guidelines
Treat all club members and their referrals as a priority and with the highest respect.
Club members are to pass only pre-qualified referrals. Non-qualified referrals are to be returned to the club member who gave the referral.
Club members are to contact referrals within 24hrs (unless directed otherwise) and are to follow-up with an update to the club member who gave the referral.
Club members should provide referrals on a regular basis to maintain membership in the club.
Club members should strive to maintain 75% attendance of scheduled meetings. Club members who miss two consecutive unexcused meetings are subject to membership cancellation.
Club members can only represent one business category, no overlapping of offerings that may cause a conflict of interest with any other club member are allowed.
Club members are responsible for inviting qualified guest.
All qualified guests must be approved by the Club Chairman or Co-chair in advance.
The Vacaville Business Club meetings are by invitation only. Walk-in guests are not allowed.
Any disputes with Club members must be submitted in writing or by e-mail to the Club Chairman or Co-chair.
Prospective Member Profile
A prospective club member should be an established business person that exhibits trust, reliability, and integrity – and in a position to not only accept referrals from club members, but generate referrals for other club members on a reasonably consistent basis. Those individuals seeking to join for the sole benefit of marketing within the club to members are not good candidates.
New Member / Invitation Guidelines
Attendance by non-members is by invitation only and with the approval of the Club Chairman
This does not pertain to family members (Provided they are not representing any business at the club).
A club member wishing to invite a guest accepts the responsibility of informing the prospective member of all rules, guidelines and protocols.
The inviting club member will provide information on the guest(s) to the Club Chairman prior to the meeting, but not just prior to the meeting, to save all parties any embarrassment.
A prospective new member will be invited to attend a meeting as a guest to evaluate their fit with the club. The inviting member will introduce the prospective member to the group and invite him or her to give a brief summary of their business.
Note – the prospective member is not allowed to attend another meeting until accepted as a member.
The inviting member, along with the guest, should meet after the meeting with the Chairman.
Any current club member that has concerns relative to any perspective new member should let those concerns be known to the Chairman as soon as possible.
The Chairman will make contact with the prospective member prior to the following meeting to discuss membership and any concerns.
The Chairman will bring the prospective member name to the group at the following meeting for discussion prior to approval.
Prospective member will be notified either way after the meeting.
The prospective member must complete either the online application or a hard copy application prior to being considered for membership in the club.
The application will be received and approved by the Chairman.
Note Where Chairman is shown - in the absence of the Chairman – the Co-Chair is acceptable.
